Brandon Garber, MPM has over ten years in the Human Resources field.  Currently he is employed as the Director Employee Relations and Compliance at Family Service Association of Howard County, INC.  There he is responsible for the day-to-day operations and the delivery of all human resources management services.  This includes compensation, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, retention, HR information systems and agency compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. Furthermore, during his tenure at FSA, he has supervised the Community Partners Program, the DCS Program, Administration Staff and Information Technology.  Prior to FSA Brandon was employed at another local nonprofit as their Director of Human Recourses.  There he oversaw the successful delivery of human resources services for an agency with over 500 employees. 

Before moving into the Human Resources field, Brandon’s background was in criminal justice.  He was a Training Specialist for BI Inc. There he was responsible for training new employees as well as local, state and federal probation, parole and law enforcement officers throughout North America and Canada in the use of in home dentition equipment and monitoring software.  He was also a Probation Officer in Miami County for over five years in which he supervised a mixed caseload of felony and misdemeanor offenders.  Brandon has been a Reserve Police Officer for seventeen years. During his time as a Reserve Police Officer he has held the ranks/positions of Corporal, Sergeant and Training Coordinator. He currently holds law enforcement credentials from Kirklin Police Department in Clinton County.               

Academically, Brandon holds two undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, Kokomo.  He also possesses both a Graduate Certificate and a Master’s Degree in Public Management with concentrations in Public Affairs and Policy Analysis from Indiana University, Kokomo.  He has been an Adjunct Professor at Ivy Tech Community College and Indiana University, Kokomo. He has instructed courses that include: Human Resources in the Public Sector, Public Management, Criminalistics, International Criminal Justice Systems, Problems of Substance Abuse in Society and Issues of Substance Abuse in Family Systems.
